HALT!
speed meet stop!
hard exclamation.
whiplash.
concussive conclusion.
it’s all me,
they say.
all
my fault
say they,
who populate
and pray
that
their deeds
be seen great,
while their morals
are thrown away.
STALL!
till all y’all
can gather
and scrub up
unholy lather,
from blubber
and a caustic lie,
eats a hole in one
called truth.
BLAST OFF!
stop switches speed,
intentionally
g-force phenomenon
meets the necronomicon.
the givers of life
forget the sacred word,
cutting the head off
of the sacred bird,
blood drips

ward—pools—
gathers in the birdbath,
while simultaneously seeping
down the plastered lath.
god’s tears
won’t be quenched—
flood, baby, flood—
until justice rolls down like
the great Delaware River.
