Tristan Robert Lange

Poet | Mystic | Existential Voice | Human with a haunted halo

Tristan Robert Lange is a poet whose work blends existential depth, gothic imagery, and spiritual subtext. This site is home to their published poems, reflections, and creative journey.

A dark, vintage movie theater. A solitary man in a suit sits facing a black-and-white projection of a skeletal woman in Victorian clothing, seated in a rocking chair. A warm halo of light surrounds the man's head. Black birds perch along the theater's upper edges. At the bottom appear the Tittu signature, tristanrobertlange.com, and the TRL emblem.

Another example of how
Necrotic our judgments are—
True terror isn’t Norman Bates.

How many people will we
Ostracize because they will
Not live into to our stereotypes?

Yes!—we are angry birds, pecking.

People are worth more than labels;
Everyone has inherent sacred worth.
Retrobates chew on the cud of fear.

Keep your fucking heteronormalcy!
I would rather love than live in fear!
No!—love does not welcome your phobia!

Sacred worth can’t be shaken or stolen.

POET’S NOTE:
An acrostic Scorched Sunday poem. Part of my Scorched Strays collection. Hollywood Edition.

Inspired by the life of a gifted actor whose humanity was too often overshadowed by the character he portrayed and the people he loved, this poem confronts the cruelty of typecasting, heteronormativity, and societal prejudice. It challenges the tendency to turn human differences into reasons for exclusion, exposing the fear and hypocrisy beneath such judgments. Written in the spirit of Halloween weekend and in observance of All Saints’ Day, it affirms the inherent sacred worth of every human being, regardless of identity, sexuality, or religious belief.
