the dotted eyes—
red luminescence
in horrid technicolor—
were there…hanging.
there.
stapled. stretched lids
crossing the stipes—
a patibulum of flesh.

next to his wife…
his little daughters—
that though he ordered
he could,
undressing me,
still LOOK
at the menu.

i nodded
as if i agreed.
then watched him

fulfilled the need
to staple his eyes
above the listing of

now offered at a
discounted rate
if you order

Tristan Robert Lange’s Nosferatu, eine Symphonie des Grauens
An Original Motion Picture Soundtrack
Nosferatu, eine Symphonie des Grauens is an early original score by Tristan Robert Lange under Appalachian Virtual Ensemble, composed to accompany the 1922 silent film. Written between 2011 and 2015, the score was released in 2022 to mark the film’s centennial.
This presentation brings the complete film together with Lange’s original music and title-card artwork. The album cover features their charcoal portrait of Count Orlok.
Tristan Robert Lange’s Annabel Lee
A little music to accompany today’s poetry: my new release, Annabel Lee, is out today! 🖤 Inspired by Edgar Allan Poe’s poem, this eight-and-a-half-minute tone poem is composed by me and performed by Appalachian Virtual Ensemble.
I’d love for you to give it a listen. Best news, though? It’s yours for free! Enjoy!
