together a chord—

whilst scaling,

digits dancing off
alabaster accidentals
onto ebony enamel.

upon the airy wind
lament emerges—
swelling hypnosis,

a ghostly,
reedy legato drift
weaving its slow
melancholy movement
through the soul.

darkness surrounds
but for the pale, wanton

moonbeam

hauntingly cast
upon the duet
of spectral sorrow—

sirening

their delicate dirge.
