Butter in a Cup

Square surreal image of a lone person rowing a weathered wooden boat through a flooded airport terminal while crowds walk past. Large departure boards read “DENIED,” “DELAYED,” and “CANCELLED.” Overhead signs point toward “All Gates,” “Engagement Enterprise,” and “Participation Required.” ristan Robert Lange branding appears along the bottom.

Sleepless on a mount—
Titanic terminal—
Row the boat; denied.
Engagement enterprise—
Seriously, no surprise—
Suck it up, butter in a cup.
Every movement is morose;
Damn! Alarm. I just laid down.

POET’S NOTE:
Part of the Wait. What?!? collection.
