A thick, ancient wild grapevine winds across the forest floor before twisting upward around the broken trunk of a dead tree in a misty woodland. Sparse clusters of dark wild grapes hang from weathered leaves as soft morning fog blurs the background. The gnarled vine dominates the foreground, suggesting endurance, adaptation, and quiet age. Tristan Robert Lange's Tittu signature appears in the lower left, the TRL monogram in the lower right, and tristanrobertlange.com is centered along the bottom.

alice merton memories—
what does it mean to be rooted?—

transience is an ongoing transition.

bittersweet morning glory
has become the same sad story.

i am a twining creeper—
wild grapes make bitter wine—
a branch that’s become

its own worn, vintage vine.
