Tristan Robert Lange

Poet | Mystic | Existential Voice | Human with a haunted halo

Tristan Robert Lange is a poet whose work blends existential depth, gothic imagery, and spiritual subtext. This site is home to their published poems, reflections, and creative journey.

A psychedelic volcanic landscape features a giant wizard lizard beside glowing nonagon portals receding endlessly into the distance. Lava rivers wind through robotic settlements while a train travels a paved road beneath swirling cosmic skies. The artwork evokes surreal recursion, psychedelic rock energy, and playful absurdity.

in order to get the gist
i took my knotted fist
punched it through the gizzard
of a giant wizard lizard,
king of a magma river,
walking away like a shiver
from condensational fuzz.
float along on the buzz,
a hive of robot stop abodes
on a train that rides roads.
choo-freaking-choo
don’t stop, don’t hit no brake,
swerving on like a rattlesnake,
the nonagon doors open infinitely,
go on, enter indiscriminantly.

don’t believe me?—
the scoop is in the loop—
can’t escape to even poop.

POET’S NOTE:
Part of the Wait. What?!? collection. A playful absurdist tribute to King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard…particularly the wonderfully inescapable Nonagon Infinity (enter in from any track, play on repeat and try it out). If you’ve never explored the band, do yourself a favor. They’ve wandered through psychedelic rock, folk, jazz, metal, garage rock, jam music, synth-pop, microtonal experiments, and more. Chances are they’ve made an album for at least one corner of your musical taste. Go ahead. Look them up. I dare you. Double dare, even.
