
looking back at the rabble—
dispersing from the smoke,
looking confused as they babble,
hack, spit, cough, and choke.
listen, moses, this ain’t no fable,
this is a fire we must stoke,
for far past the time of babel,
these bricks’ll leave pharoah broke.
