
peace is in the heart?
yeah, i suppose,
that might be the start.
but
let me ask this—
to not I’d be remiss—
where do you
locate that very heart?
wait!—in the brain?
yes that’s plain!
and, again,
let’s not refrain
from asking this question,
why abstain?—
what happens if the brain
starts to act insane?
what if the part that
holds the heart
begins to malfunction,
regardless how off the chart?
what if the wires cross
sparking anxiety and loss—
depression to death, an albatross—
where, then, is peace found?
rather than wading unwound,
we must stand on solid ground
before ignorance is lost and
understanding found.
