A moody fog-covered small-town street at dawn with a lone figure walking away from the viewer on a wet sidewalk. Another distant blurred figure stands behind them in the haze. Warm streetlights glow softly through the mist. Tristan Robert Lange logo and website appear at the bottom corners.

i see you there—
sitting…

there…

no hello,
no smile

no “hey, it’s been awhile,”

yes, it’s me you just saw,
but don’t let that gnaw

at your heart—
you played your part—

yet God came through—
shocked?—
there’s nothing you can do

you can’t say hi to me,
but by grace, I’m moving

beyond you.
