Album cover for Vallis Mortis – Shifting Spring. A vivid psychedelic landscape painted in swirling blues, golds, greens, and pinks. A glowing spiral sun hangs over a lush valley filled with flowers and a winding river. On the right, a serene woman with flowing windblown hair and closed eyes merges into the colorful scene. Large gold lettering reads “VALLIS MORTIS” at the top and “SHIFTING SPRING” at the bottom.

Memory 1

YOUNG BOY: "Mommy, where did grandma go?"
MOTHER: "Um...up there in the blue sky, beyond the dark gray clouds."

Memory 2: A Poem Fragment

It is snowing out and I am cold,
And what I say you probably won’t hear,
For ever atom in me is frozen,
Right down to the heart.

I’m sitting and freezing to death.
I’m freezing as I sit in discomfort,
Observing the blur of white
That surrounds me.

My face, my blood, they are all frozen solid.
I am now seventeen years old and already in bad health,
Hoping to die sooner than later.

A cinematic image of a strawberry blond teenage boy writing poetry alone at a desk late at night while snow falls outside a dark window. A warm desk lamp illuminates his tired face and notebook while swirling psychedelic cosmic colors emerge around the ink and shadows of the room. The atmosphere is melancholic, introspective, and dreamlike. White “Tittu” branding appears in the lower left corner, with “tristanrobertlange.com” centered at the bottom and a gothic TRL crest in the lower right.

Memory 3:

YOUNG GIRL: "Daddy, why did my fish die?"
FATHER: "Because it's, uh, just the way life is, honey."
YOUNG GIRL: "But, I...I want her alive again."

A long pause.

FATHER: (lets out a resigned sigh) I know you do...I know you do."

Another pause.

Let's just see what we can make happen, shall we?

His mother's voice appears in memory to say the following words along with him.

Here, take my hand.

Ending

YOUNG GIRL: "Look Daddy, look, she's alive again."

A luminous psychedelic goldfish swims through deep black-blue water filled with glowing cosmic particles and swirling rainbow reflections. Its flowing translucent fins trail like liquid nebulae or smoke made of light. The fish glows with orange, gold, blue, and iridescent hues, creating a surreal atmosphere that feels both melancholic and hopeful. White “Tittu” branding appears in the lower left corner, with “tristanrobertlange.com” centered at the bottom and a gothic TRL crest in the lower right.
