What you see as black
I absolutely adore.
I guess it’s okay to say
I’m no longer your whore.

What you call asphalt
Is a rainbow sea
Of tar and oozing oil
Over earth’s forgotten debris.

What you see as black—
The grotesque cancer beneath—
Has metastasized throughout,
Something I did forseeth.

Nothing ever truly stays beneath.
