And They Call It Patriotism

A dark, moody digital painting of the Statue of Liberty, blindfolded and bound in barbed wire. The statue’s weathered features are illuminated against a stormy backdrop, evoking themes of oppression, silence, and corrupted freedom.

Freedom fracked by fears fomented,
Accepted by the moral majority—
Society turns a blind eye to suffering,
Callously shunning and banning difference—
Identities reduced to patriot or foe,
Straight or too woke to fucking exist.
Murder starts with mind manipulation.
