Meditated journeys through the
Twisted path of the mind.
Peaceful visions of rainbows
And pots of gold.
Flying spirits circling around
The golden riches.
Scents of opium,
From the burning incense.
White horses with wings,
Gliding through white clouds,
And the presence of God
Beckoning me to kill the Devil.
I made an attempt,
But well…
The Devil didn’t die.
The Devil’s still alive inside.
The Devil didn’t die.

Poet’s Note:
It’s time for some more Freaky Friday Frolics from an introspective soul. This piece, Meditated Journeys, was written in 1995 as a song rather than a poem. One of my earlier lyrical works, it moves through surreal, psychedelic imagery — incense smoke, winged horses, rainbows — before reaching a dark turn.
